Our Story

Mike has been recruiting for FinTechs & FS firms since 2012 and has experience in London and New York. He worked at Aston Carter for 6 years before starting Scene, a more generalist technology agency but realised he wanted to focus on solely helping Financial Markets Tech companies with their niche requirements. Outside of work Mike enjoys watching sport, going to live music and relaxing with his partner Claire, son Raff and two cats – King Leonidas & General Maximus (he didn’t pick the names!)

Jim has over a decade of experience in recruiting across financial services – specialising in both technology and product. He began his career at Aston Carter, where he first worked with Mike in 2015. He then moved to Tyl, a Payments FinTech to lead their talent function where he took the business from 60 to 200 employees. For the past few years, Jim has led agency recruitment teams while remaining hands-on, and he has found his passion in supporting FinTechs to recruit and build successful teams. Jim is a fitness enthusiast who enjoys the great outdoors, including hiking, running and cycling. He also values spending time with his young family, including his partner Cleo and their son Freddie.

Jack has been recruiting for FinTechs & Hedge Funds since 2010 and has experience in London and New York. In New York, he led a team of 10+ recruiters but has decided that being hands on again is
where his passion lies. He really enjoys collaborating closely with clients and candidates and offering a Consultative service. Jack’s specialisms lie in Software Engineering recruitment and he has placed candidates in all major Backend Technologies. Jack has pursued many adventures outside of work; notably, he ran the London Marathon in 2010 and climbed Kilimanjaro in 2022.
